Limerick Family

Our Story

Limerick, named after the birthplace of the company’s founders’ mother and grandmother, is a certified women-owned family business created in 1992. It was started by a mother and daughter (both lactation consultants) looking to help working moms meet their breastfeeding goals while smoothing their transition back into the workplace after giving birth. Though it began purely as an educational and support program, it soon evolved into something more: a creative partnership between company and client that has resulted in the most comfortable, intuitive, and safe breast pump. To date, the Sof-Touch technology is the only breast pump technology that creates a natural pumping experience for moms.

Our Products

Limerick is the only company in the world that offers the rhythmic cycles of compression and vacuum to perfectly mimic a baby’s natural nursing pattern, resulting in more comfortable and productive sessions. It was also the first to offer a portable, hospital-grade, closed-system electric pump to non-hospital users, greatly decreasing the possibility of mold growth and infectious particles. Even better, all our pumps have the added benefit of not only helping moms maintain their milk supply while away from their babies, they actually help them increase it.

For Moms For Hospitals For DMEs

Our Services

We offer both Workplace Lactation and Parent Services Programs. Each addresses the life-changing effects of bringing a new life into the world. The Workplace Lactation Program is designed specifically in collaboration with employers to help families achieve their breastfeeding goals, while the Parent Services Program offers everything from post-partum depression evaluations to parental coaching and induced-lactation consultations. Both the program and services help to make the workplace transition before, during, and after birth as seamless as possible.

WLP Parent Services

Our Commitment

This is why we’re committed to providing exceptional service, products, and support by listening to and working closely with each and every one of our customers.

What is something that you wish every working parent knew?
You can say no! Time is precious and you get to choose when to say yes, no or negotiate.

What do you love to do when you are not working?
Walking while listening to audiobooks (two of my favorite recharge activities at the same time). I return home a much more peaceful version of me.

What do you think is most powerful about coaching?
Being seen. Having a space to explore what’s true and what’s possible with someone who is not invested in a particular outcome. Being asked powerful questions and learning new ways of being that make life feel more joyful, interesting and doable.

What is something that you wish that every working parent knew?
You are the expert on your own child and what works best for your family. You can trust yourself! We’re all just making it up as we go along.

Rebekah Nanfria

What is something that you wish every working parent knew?
Everyone is struggling. You are not alone or failing or “doing it wrong.” No one has it all together. The sooner we all come clean about that, the more strength and joy we’ll find as parents.

What do you love to do when you are not working?
I love just being around my kids doing the simple things—walking the dog, playing catch, driving to practices. Those are the times they start talking, sharing their deep thoughts, their challenges, discoveries and joys. Those are the best life moments. I also run, love movies and make the best chocolate chip pancakes ever.

What do you think is most powerful about coaching?
I am inspired to help clients tap into their own resourcefulness. Only they know what’s right for them.

What is one of your favorite life hacks for thriving as a working parent?
Meal delivery services have been a lifesaver. We picked one where the food just needs to be reheated, and we are able to get at least two weeknight dinners out of it.
